    MoneyPlus Energy cookies PHPSESSID This cookie is essential for the acquisition form and self-serve portal to operate and will be deleted when you close your browser.

    We place our own first party cookies and other data files in your web browser cache for the purposes of operating our website, including session cookies necessary to use self serve and switch portals on our website (our session cookies are currently named PHPSESSID at the time of writing).
    Google analytics _ga We use the Google Analytics service to collect and analyse information about how our visitors use our website. The service collects information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors to our website, where visitors have come to the website from, and the pages visited on our website. We use this information to compile statistical and other information about the website in the form of reports. The information collected will also be used by Google. The service places a JavaScript and several cookies on your web browser to operate.

    What information do we collect?

    We will collect your name, contact details, energy-supply data, MoneyPlus Energy log-in credentials, transaction, payment, and other information which you enter into forms completed and submitted through our website.

    Our technologies explained above also capture information about your use of our website, including where you visited our website from and click-throughs, what pages you visit, your use of each page (taps, clicks, gestures, cursor movements, scrolling, and key presses, and information entered into forms), and your feedback.

    We also collect your browser information, including your browser make (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome), your operating system (e.g. Microsoft Windows, OSX, Android) and your IP address (a unique identifier allocated to your computer for your connection to the internet).

    Our own and third party cookies and other technologies will also be used to collect information to track visits to our website, as explained in paragraph 2.1 above.

    How will this information be used?

    Any information we collect through the website will be used to facilitate your use of, to analyse how visitors use our site to help identify potential improvements, and/or to support your application for our services. Some of the information collected through our cookies will be shared with third parties automatically, such as Google Analytics data.

    Over the course of your application and contract with MoneyPlus Energy, we may collect other information from you and third parties (e.g. your previous energy supplier) in order to provide our services to you. How we use this additional information and who it could be shared with is explained in our Privacy Notice.

3. How long do we keep your information

Any personal information we collect from you or third parties about you (e.g. your previous energy supplier) will be retained securely for the full duration of your contract with MoneyPlus Energy plus a further seven years in accordance with our legal and regulatory obligations.If we hold your data for any other reason it will be deleted as soon as we no longer have a valid reason to keep it.

_gat 1 minute Used to throttle request rate. If Google Analytics is deployed via Google Tag Manager, this cookie will be named _dc_gtm_ "property-id".
AMP_TOKEN 30 seconds to 1 year Contains a token that can be used to retrieve a Client ID from AMP Client ID service. Other possible values indicate opt-out, inflight request or an error retrieving a Client ID from AMP Client ID service.
_gac_"property-id" 90 days Contains campaign related information for the user. If you have linked your Google Analytics and Google Ads accounts, Google Ads website conversion tags will read this cookie unless you opt-out. Learn more.
_utmx 18 months Used to determine a user's inclusion in an experiment.
_utmxx 18 months Used to determine the expiry of experiments a user has been included in.
_utma 2 years from set/update Used to distinguish users and sessions. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and no existing __utma cookies exists. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.
_utmt 10 minutes Used to throttle request rate.
_utmb 30 ins from set/update Used to determine new sessions/visits. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and no existing __utmb cookies exists. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.
_utmc End of browser session Not used in ga.js. Set for interoperability with urchin.js. Historically, this cookie operated in conjunction with the __utmb cookie to determine whether the user was in a new session/visit.
_utmz 6 months from set/update Stores the traffic source or campaign that explains how the user reached your site. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.
_utmv 2 years from set/update Used to store visitor-level custom variable data. This cookie is created when a developer uses the _setCustomVar method with a visitor level custom variable. This cookie was also used for the deprecated _setVar method. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics.
